Welcome to Addiction Hope!

We are so excited to unveil Addiction Hope!  We have found that there is a tremendous need for reliable and trustworthy information on alcoholism, drug addiction and process addictions.  After years of serving the needs of those struggling with eating disorders and co-occurring issues through our sister site Eating Disorder Hope it has become evident that there are a lot of similarities in the underlying issues of those suffering from any form of addiction, eating disorder or other self destructive habitual pattern that one may undertake to avoid the pain of living.

Our objective foremost is to provide real hope…hope that there is good treatment available, hope that people can and do recover from addictions and hope that one can rebuild a meaningful and fulfilling life even after all the damage of having lived a life with an addiction.

We have thoroughly researched and presented the facts about alcohol and drugs, such as: heroin, cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy, oxycotin, oxycodone and more.  We also cover the treatment modalities commonly used to help an individual recover from an addiction and learn the tools to live thereafter a life free of the chains of that addiction.

It is our hope that our large national treatment directory of rehab centers will be a valuable tool for hurting sufferers of addiction and their families.  We deeply value the role of a family in our society and want to provide this treatment support to addicted family members in order that they may heal and resume family life as a loving, healthy and productive contributor to the family unit.  Many suffer deeply due to the behavior of the addict, and it is the well-being of the addict and all their loved ones that we are interested in restoring.

We also understand that mood disorders often complicate the diagnosis and treatment of addiction.  Many alcoholics or drug addicts have unwittingly self-medicated away the pain of living with depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder and more.  We cover in depth the etiology of these frequently occurring mood disorders and also provide treatment references for individuals to consider in their path to recovery and wholeness.

At Addiction Hope, we believe that God created each unique human being to flourish, have a relationship with Him and love one another.  Addiction is a terribly difficult challenge to overcome and prevents people from enjoying the life they are blessed to live.  Recovery opens the door to hope, healing and a renewed zest for life and desire to connect meaningfully, once again, with God and one’s fellow human beings.
